TPS65560EVM-165: Xenon not ignighting

I bought one of these development boards a couple of years ago but this is the first time I've fired it up.

Basically the Xenon lamp is not flashing. I can charge the cap to 320V I get a flash full signal to the led.

I can trigger using the switch and get signal all the way through to the IGBT. I can see that the IGBT is firing. The voltage between C6 and R9 is switching.

The lamp partially lights dimly and the charge voltage drops about 10v.


Any suggestions ? lamp or trigger transformer maybe ?

    Hi David,

     It seems the output voltage is not enough to fire the Xenon, could you try to change the turn raito of the transformer or post the waveform of operation sequence chart as the datasheet shown in figure 4 in page 6? We can check the board operation status. Thanks!
