BQ40Z50-R1: What is difference between Fully Charge(FC) and Terminate Charge(TC) / Fully Discharge(FD) and Terminate Discharge(TD) ?

Hi, I have some questions on BQ40Z50-R1.

1. What is the difference between  Fully Charge(FC) and Terminate Charge(TC) / Fully Discharge(FD) and Terminate Discharge(TD) ?

2. How to determine voltage threshold of FC/TC, FD/TD?

3. How can I determin IT Cfg resistor values like "Pack resistance" ? Any guide?

4. In my application, only 4 leds are required. Can I get some reference schematic of 4 leds appication?

    1. Please go through Section 4.7 of its TRM where gives detail description of when they are set and cleared are in .
    2. Typically RSOC is used for clearing FC/TC (~95-98%) and FD/TD (~5-10%) and also to set FD/TD(Usually 0%).  Typically Valid charge termination is used to set TC/FC.
    3. The Pack resistance should typically only be used when Turbo Mode is used. There is a description in SLUA803 (Turbo Mode App note) on how to measure and set this.
    4. The same reference schematic can be used without the 5th LED, and the threshold for LED4 and ELD5 can be made the same in the settings to use only 4 LEDs. There will be a slight brightness difference between 4 and 5LEDs, but it should not be noticeable.
