BQ40Z60: XCHG and XDSG stuck

Hello Forum

I can't seem to get XCHG and XDSG to clear with FET_EN asserted or not.

A screen shot is below. No Alarms or PF have occurred.

Do the CF flags prevent XCHG and XDSG from being cleared?

Any help appreciated.

The CF flag will not prevent the FETs from turning on, but it looks like they are not enabled on your pack. The FET_EN flag is green. Try sending the FET_EN command.

thanks but regardless of the state of FET_EN, the XDSG and XCHG bits won't clear. Any advice please?

Here is the screen shot showing FET_EN, still doesnt clear the XDSG and XCHG,

FYI Thomas, I also searched the TRM and everywhere XDSG and XCHG appear, I verified that none of the alarm conditions exist, nor are they indicative in the bqStudio UI.

You can send me an srec from your pack and I can check the setup. Are you using the TI EVM or a custom board?

I believe it's the default build v0_15_build_21.srec from the site. I attached it but not sure if it transmitted ok.

That file is the default srec file. Did you make any changes to your configuration?

yes, here is the CSV file

is that where the changes are kept? or does the srec get modified and i need to export it?

The FETs enable on my EVM when using your setup, so there must be a circuit problem. Can you send a schematic for your design?

Hello,

I have the same Problem with XCHG and XDSG. Both Bits are set in all cases. I use the Gauger IC BQ28z610. Attached you will find my srec file.

Is there any documentation from TI. how to write a srec file with a Microcontroller?
