LM2676: Impossible to get 5V

Part Number: LM2676

Hello,

It's the third prototype I'm designing and the LM2676-5.0 isn't working. I followed the layout guidelines but it is not better. My output is at +/- 7 V... What should I do to get an operational power circuit ?

Component used :

Cin : 4.7 uF + 100 nF
Cout : 100uF
Inductor : 33 uH 2.8 A
Diode : Schottky 60 V 3A

  • Hello Cyril,

It is a little hard to read your layout since not all the parts are marked and there is not schematic to compare it to for identifying components properly.

Have you taken a look at Figure 24 of the datasheet for the LM2676 to look how the part is recommended to be laid out?

If you can share your schematic it will be easier to figure out what might be the issue.
