TPS63020 Excessive radiation

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS63020

Dear,

I use TPS63020  to convert 3.7V battery to 5v in the medical product. When I test the model, the EMI of it excessive the standard line of class B in IEC 60601-1.

So, there is the problem that

1, if anyone meet the problem while using the chip?

2, In order to pass the test, what should i do if i still want to use this chip?

3, Are there other chip with low EMI that i can use to replace this chip?

Below is the picture show the EMI situation of  the TPS63020,

  • TPS63020 is successfully used in a lot of designs which all need to meet certain EMI regulations. So if there have been problems with the design implementation they have been solved.
To help you with your design implementation I would need the complete PCB layout information. The file attached only shows the top layer routing. It also would be helpful to see a picture of the EMI measurement setup.
It looks like you are using Altium Designer for the layout. If so, you could also share the Altium PCB and schematics files. If you do not want to publish the data here, please send it in a private message.
  • OK,I will sent you my design.
Could you give me you email?
    Thanks.
  • The attention is the PCB file, you need to open it with AD14.

    Thank you for your help.

  • Thanks for the file. It made it much easier.
For a switchmode converter it is very important to route the connections to input capacitors and output capacitors with very low impedance. When operating in boost mode the connections to the output capacitors are most important. I will send you more information in a private message...
