LM5002: LM5002 Ripple issue

Part Number: LM5002

I use LM5002 to convert 12V to 48V, While the ripple of the waveform is too high(about 10V). The load is a mic, and the current is about 10mA.

What is the possible reason?(Below is the schematic and the waveform)

  • That is not "ripple", it is "switching noise". You have to be very careful when measuring it. You should measure directly across C7 or C8 using a very short (< 1 cm) ground lead. "Tip and ring" measurement is best. If you still see significant switching noise, you may need to examine your PCB layout. Poor layout will lead to increased switching noise.
  • Dear John,

Could you please help to check my layout? Below are my two designs, which have about the same switching noise.

    Many thanks!
