BQ24650: Implementing the typical application circuit

I've read the technical guide "Maximum Power Point Tracking With the bq24650 Charger" and note the typical application circuit involves extra components and circuits to make the bq24650 function properly.

Could you please advise me the best way to implement the typical application circuit?

As well I would like to know more about how the typical application circuit works. Would you be able to point me to some information that explains the fucntion of the extra circuits in more detail. I'm particularly lacking information about setting up the battery side of the charger.

I should add that I'm using the BQ24650 with a LiPo battery.

What exactly do you want more info on the battery side of the charger? Let me know some specific because there are many things that has to be set, like ISET, VFB and sense resistor.

Also, for the MPPT tracking, you can use the following excel sheet located under our Tools and Software tab: www.ti.com/.../sluc229

You can look at the application circuit at Figure 4 on the app note: www.ti.com/.../slua586a.pdf

The thermistor basically changes resistance based on the temperature of the solar panel, and at the same time changes the MPPT of the charger, which tracks the real MPPT of the solar panel according to the temperature change.
