TPS65911: PMIC TPS659113 IO 3.3V

Part Number: TPS65911
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DM8107

Support Path: /Other topics/Design techniques and how-to guides/

Hello.

We design DM8107 with PMIC(TPS659113) and use 3.3V IO voltage but PMIC fixed boot supply 1.8V as default.

User's guide says that we have to select values to program and TI  will program that in production time.

In that case we think the period of delivery is probably not good.

Is there any method to use 3.3V IO with fixed boot ?

Normally we use SD boot and NAND boot of DM8107.

Thanks.

  • Good day sir,
I have asked the designer if this is possible. I will let you know his thoughts as soon as he gets back to me later today.
  • Sir,
You can’t re-define new start-up voltages, but you can always alter the voltages over I2C once the PMIC is active. The I2C wouldn’t be disabled in any way, but changes will be lost upon reset.

However, I’m not sure if this will work for you, since I don’t know which specific rails you intend to change, and if this would violate your sequencing requirements. If the rail that you want to change is used for your processor, then this may not be an option for you. If this rail is for a different device, then you can most certainly change it upon startup and before you enable it.
  • Thanks for your reply.

Currently, we decide to design without PMIC.

    Yours Sincerely.
