TPS3702: TI equivalent to MAX16052?

Part Number: TPS3702
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS3701, TPS3700, TPS3710, TPS3711, TPS3510, TPS3513, TPS3895

Team,

What would be the closest TI equivalent to MAX16052?
This is to monitor a 12V rail (+/-3%) where the 12V rail is as well use to power the monitoring circuit.

Thanks,

Anthony

  • Anthony,

TPS3710/11 features adjustable threshold options with supply up to 18V for TPS3710 @ 1% accuracy or 36V for TPS3711 @ 0.75% accuracy. These devices don't have programmable delay though but do come in the same type of package. The delay for these devices are 10-20us. If interested in the window comparator (undervoltage and over voltage detection) check TPS3700/TPS3701. If you want multi-channel with longer delay on order of ms (or just one channel capable of 12V), check TPS3510/11 and TPS3513.

If monitoring less than 12V, we have a bunch more options but we are limited in choices for devices monitoring 12V and higher.

These are the options I'm aware of that compare with the device you mentioned. I hope this helps!

  • MAX16053 offers an active-high push-pull output. Operate from a 2.25V to 28V supply voltage and feature an active-high enable input, do we have push-pull device to compete ?
  • We have:

    1. TPS3701 that operates from 1.8V to 36V. Dual-output: Active-low, open-drain for the undervoltage monitoring and active-high, open-drain output for overvoltage monitoring, Very accurate 0.25% threshold accuracy.

    2. TPS3895 that operates 1.7V to 6.5V. Single output active-high, push-pull. Features active-high enable input and a programmable delay option.
