Dear Sir,

How can the bq77905 be configured for different Overvoltage and Undervolage threshold trip points?

I want to use this IC for protection of LiFePo4 cell(4 cell in series).

but given specification in datasheet is for LiCoO2 or NMO OR NMC cells.

Page 3 of the datasheet shows a few part number variations that have slightly different thresholds, but the Features list on page one of the datasheet states the Overvoltage can range from 3V to 4.575V and the Undervoltage can range from 1.2V to 3V.

Is there a range of part number variations that have different trip points?

bq77905 comes in 5 version. the OV threshold is listed as 4200mV-4250mV. refer to pp #3 for the comprehensive table.

Dear Vish,

Thank you for your email, I went through datasheet .i.e. pp#3 table. All version present in datasheet is suitable for LiCoO2 Cell. Our requierment is LiFePo4 cell. In LiFePo4 cell over discharge voltage and upper charge volatge is 2.0 Volt and 3.75 volt respectively.

Hi Sachin,

The bq77905 has to be factored programmed to accommodate a custom spin, which i believe is what you are asking about. This device has no field programmability. If you have a TI sales rep i would contact them.

Do you know what's the minimum order quantity if we want a factored programmed version of this chips with custom spin ?

There really is no clear rule on what the minimum order quantity needs to be. We evaluate each opportunity differently.
