BQ34110EVM-796: Is is compatible with EV2300 instead of EV2400?

Hi,

I've ordered the BQ34110EVM-796 about a month ago as well as the EV2400 interface module. I've received the BQ34110 eval board, but not the EV2400, and I've been told that the EV2400 will only ship in another 2 months, even if it's shown as "In stock" on the TI website.

The BQ34110EVM-796 page refers only to the EV2400. My question is: can I order the EV2300 instead to get it faster? Will the EV2300 work with bqStudio and the bq34110 eval board?

    The EV2300 does work with the bq34110. We have had some users report that it does not work with their computers. Also, the unit will need v3.1m or v3.1r firmware installed on it and I am not sure that all units in the warehouse have one of these versions. It takes two EV2300s to upgrade the firmware.

    You're probably not the person to ask, but shouldn't the EV2400 show as "Out of stock" instead of "In stock" on the product page? Two months shipping instead of 1-3 days is a pretty big difference.
