Hi Guys,

Does BQ27426 works with lipo batteries, in datasheet it only specify about li-ion batteries, but in product selection it is showing lipo.

    Hi Muhsin,

    bq27426 can work with polymer battery if ChemID for that battery is a match with one of the three pre-programmed ChemIDs of bq27426 gauge. bq27426 pre-programmed ChemIDs are (1202), (3230), and (3142) for batteries with 4.2V, 4.35V, and 4.4V respectively. ChemID can be found in battery datasheet or it can be identified by two ways; using GPCCHEM  Gauging Parameter Calculator: Match chemistry for Impedance Track gauges tool, please see link below,

    or by sending the battery to us and we will do the ChemID matching and provide you with your battery ChemID. Also you can check to see if your battery is already been identified by checking our huge ChemID database by using bqStudio software's Chemistry tab.
