RE: Recommendation for charger/ battery monitor

So Currently trying to model the bq40z50evm-561 but for some reason is showing bat cell voltage 4 to be 0V, but is showing the right overall voltage, the problem is this affects the SOC.

thanks for the quick responds I tried changing it, it gives me an error, and now CC[0:1] is 00 :(

Let me work with your GG file to figure out your issue. Your bq40z50-R1 isn't sealed your SEC1 = 0 and SEC0 = 1, which is full access.

I couldn't import your gg.csv file. You may have opened and saved it in excel.

• Click refresh in the top right corner of bqStudio Registers Tab
• Send me a screenshot of bqStudio bit registers at the bottom of the Registers Tab.
• Check if the PF_EN bit is set in the Manufacturing Status register in bqStudio bit registers section at the bottom of the Registers Tab
  • If yes, you it's possible PF is preventing writes to the data flash
  • If no, It's not PF preventing writes to the data flash - stop here
• Check if any PF Status A+B or C+D bits are set in the PF Status A+B or C+D registers in bqStudio bit registers section at the bottom of the Registers Tab
• If any of the PF Status A+B or C+D bits is set, send PF_CLEAR command located in the right Command section of bqStudio Registers Tab (scroll down to find PF_CLEAR command) followed by the PF_EN command to disable PF
• Refresh the registers and check PF_EN and PF Status A+B or C+D bits are cleared
• Try writing to update bq40z50-R1 cell count from 3S to 4S

It doesn't appear as PFs is the issue. I was able to load your gg.csv on a 4S bq40z50EVM without issue and update the cell count from 1S to 4S. Can you remove/cycle the battery power from the gauge and try to reload the update gg.csv.
