TPS2491: Can I reduce C1 value? What is the min?

Hi Team,

In both datasheet and design tool, I notice C1 is fixed at 0.1uF. Can I reduce this capacitance value? What is the minimum value? Current input is 48V and 4.4A inrush current is observed. With that, connector pins tend to be spoilt after hundred plugging action. If C1 is replaced with 0.01uF, 2A inrush current is observed. Kindly advise.
