Tool/software: Linux
Dear Sir,
I am evaluating BQ24250 and found an unexpected behavior that BQ24250 didn't terminate charging at low temperature ("Tcold < TS temp < Tcool").
I measured charging time with following conditions.
Battery: 2600mAH Li-ion
Iset:1A
temperature: almost 0degC (keeping TS_stat=100: "Tcold < TS temp < Tcool").
Register #2: 0x6C (charge termination enabled)
Register #6: 0xE8 (safety timer disabled and TS function enabled)
Other registers: default
The BQ24250 didn't terminate charging even when it passed more than 20 hours, so I stopped the measuring.
The input current of IN and the voltage of BAT were almost 0.00A and 4.200V respectively at the end of the measuring.
I think the BQ24250 should terminate charging when the charging current reached Iterm even in the low temperature.
Is this behavior the specification of BQ24250?
If so, I'd like to know how should I terminate the charging at the low temperature (Tcold < TS temp < Tcool).
Best regards,
