I am concerned with regard to figure 6 of slva306a.pdf:

Doesn't the body diode of the MOSFET Ma effectively ground the negative input of the power adapter and render the disconnect circuit useless?

Hi Michael,

You're right the diode on the app note should be the other way. The part number is correct and the diode is actually facing the correct way.

thanks for the quick answer: So the FDC2512 will work but figure 6 has a wrong N-channel FET symbol where the body diode is shown in reverse?

Hi Michael,

That's correct, after looking at the FDC2512 the diode is the other way around.
