UCD90160: High Byte in STATUS_WORD command = 0x10

Part Number: UCD90160

Hello there,

My customer is seeing 0x10 as the high byte in the STATUS_WORD command which according to PMBus Spec indicates a MFR_SPECIFIC fault or warning.

I looke dat the datasheet and I asked them to check the MFR_STATUS register to see if that would provide anymore detail on what the fault might be but that register returned 0x0.

Could you advise on what we should check next so we can get to the bottom of the issue they're seeing?

Thanks,

-Amanda

  • Hi Amanda
They can hook USB-To-GPIO Dongle with TI Fusion GUi to see what's the status.
The MFR_STATUS shall return 4 bytes instead of one bytes. Are all 4 bytes 0?
    Regards
