LM5161-Q1: Adding the snubber circuit to LM5161-Q1

Part Number: LM5161-Q1

Hi

I have a questions about LM5161-Q1.
My customer use this device as Fly-Buck controller.
But the large serge noise occurs
Generally, I think Fly-Buck topology don't have to add the snubber circuit,
if they add the snubber circuit,, is there recommended the circuit?
Best regards,
Yokota
  • I would check the PCB layout first to improve the noise issue. It has more direct effect than a snubber.

I'd think the snubber circuit design should be the same as a standard buck converter, since it is on the SW node to reduce FET switching noises.
