CCS/UCD3138128: Some issue for the UCD3138

Part Number: UCD3138128
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-00653

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi All,

We want to kick off a project for E-bike DC/DC converter,the TIDA-00653 is available,the configuration of our production

as below:input voltage:6-13.6V,output voltage:36V,the power is 500W;

now we have some issue :

1、If the input voltage(6-13.6V) is available in the TIDA-00653 EVM?how many the range of the input voltage?

2、If there are some training for the circuit diagram and PCB Layout?

3、Can you help to show us the link of software for the EVM?

Very thanks for your help.

  • Hi John,

    1) If you are only providing the input voltage of 6 -13.6 at the 12 v terminal, then the bias supply has to be modified. The Mosfet driver needs 12 V for switching. This will not be available when the input voltage is 6 V . Initially the driver can work with 6 v and then once output is available , then the driver can work with 12 V because the bias can provide it.

    2) The product folder has the latest design files like the PCB and the schematic files . Please see here : www.ti.com/.../TIDA-00653 .
    Also the "Bidirection DC-to-DC Converter User's Guide (Rev. A)" document helps in the software and hardware design.

    3) The firmware can be downloaded from the above link. Please look for the "Download" button.

    Thanks,
    Sanatan
