Dear Sir,
I am going to use BQ25895 for Vbus 5v, Vout=PMID=5V 3.1A output.
According to the Pin description of PMID, it can support up to 3.1A output current. I am checking the block diagram and typical circuit, it doesn't have any boost path to PMID pin when Vbus is not plugged.
is this boost topology built-in the chip? Thanks.
PMID: Battery boost mode output. Connected to the drain of the reverse blocking MOSFET (RBFET) and the drain of HSFET. The minimum capacitance required on PMID to PGND is 40µF for up-to 2.4A output and 60µF for up-to 3.1A output
OTG:Boost mode enable pin. The boost mode is activated when OTG_CONFIG =1, OTG pin is high, and no input source is detected at VBUS
