Hi, Sirs：

Customer want to use LP8860 with external boost DC converter.

If we don't use LP8860's internal boost controller, LP8860 still normal work or not??

    LP8860 supports cluster mode which is non-adaptive boost operation and can use external power supply for LED high side voltage.

    In this case, LP8860 will work only as a LED driver(w/o boost), and some features regarding LED driver won't work on this mode.

    - No brightness slope control

    - No PWM input can be used. Just brightness register

    - No dithering

    - No hybrid or current dimming

    Could you let me know of your customer info such as mane, location, application product, volume, development plan?

    We have separate apps engineers based on region, so we will be able to support better if we know this info.
