TPS60500: Verify interpretation of the active low EN pin 1 is correct

Part Number: TPS60500

Team,

Can you please help with below question:

We are doing some board reworks and have an urgent request.  Can you confirm that for the TPS60500 Step-Down Charge Pump that our interpretation of the active low EN pin 1 is correct?:

Our interpretation of this specification is that the regulator is guaranteed to be enabled if the EN pin 1 voltage is <= 0.3 times VIN pin 5; and vice versa the regulator is guaranteed to be disabled if the EN pin voltage is >= 0.7 times VIN pin 5.  Can you confirm?

Thanks

Viktorija

  • Part Number: TPS60500

The TPS6050x datasheet, page 5, calls out the following specifications for the active low enable pin:

EN' input low voltage = 0.3 * VIN max

EN' input high voltage = 0.7 * VIN max

Is the correct interpretation of these specifications that the regulator is guaranteed to be enabled if the EN pin voltage is less than 0.3 times the VIN pin voltage; and the regulator is guaranteed to be disabled if the EN pin voltage is greater than 0.7 times the VIN pin voltage?

    Thanks,

    Marc

  • Yes, this is correct. EN is active low.
