I have a question concerning the state, which is entered after an ABIST failure. Different TI documents title different states after an ABIST failure:
„Safety Manual for TPS65381-Q1 Multi-Rail Power Supply” (“SLVA528A – October 2014”), Chapter 5.1 “Power Supply”: “Any time a UV or OV event or ABIST failure is detected, the TPS65381-Q1 transitions to the STANDBY state.”
“TPS65381-Q1 Multi-Rail Power Supply for Microcontrollers in Safety Applications” (“SLVSBC4F –MAY 2012–REVISED MAY 2016”) Chapter “5.4.1.5 Analog Built-In-Self-Test (ABIST)”: “In case of an ABIST failure, the device enters SAFE state”. That conforms to the diagram “Figure 5-16. Device Controller State Diagram” and the sentence at chapter „5.4.1.25 SAFE State“ „Enters from RESET, DIAGNOSTIC, or ACTIVE state after ABIST or LBIST failure.”
What state is entered after an ABIST failure, the STANDBY or the SAFE state?
