TPS40428: Ambient Temperature Specification

Hello Team,

the TPS40428 data sheet specifies the recommended junction temperature range from -40°C to +125°C but there is no information about the recommenced operation temperature.

I assume -40°C to +85°C.

Can you confirm this, please?

    It will depend on your operating conditions and PCB design. As an extreme, you can operate at Ta = 125 C. so long as your power dissipation is 0 W. So you will need to calculate your power dissipation and estimate the thermal parameters of your board.
