TPS51116: Rvddqsns

Part Number: TPS51116

Hello E2E,

In the TPS51116 datsheet there is a specification for Rvddqsns. In the adjustable mode (which is what we are using it in) is specifies 460kohm. However looking at it and talking it over with a couple of other people it is unclear if that is an impedance to ground that must be considered when selecting the R1/R2 feedback network or if it is considered an isolation between the pin and the part (and thus limits the current). My interpretation is that it is an impedance to ground and not a series impedance to the amp.

Which is it? Series or shunt impedance? If shunt impedance then it needs to be accounted for when selecting R1/R2 and the equation isn't quite as simple as the datasheet specifies.

Thank you very much!

Russell
