TPS54140A: GND layout

Hello,

Now I have an question about GND layout for TPS54140A.

The GND patterns on top layer of the TPS54140EVM are divided such as attached image.

On the other hand, when I refer to the 'Figure 65' of the datasheet I find the undivided GND.

Would you tell me which design is better one?

I think that EVM picture is either an error in the graphic or possibly a mistake in the layout. The ground should be undivided. I'm sure they are connected electrically thru the numerous vias and the bottom side ground plane.
