Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO, BQ40Z50, BQ4050, EV2400
Hi,
Here are the details of my setup:
- Device BQ40z50-r1 EVM (default firmware)
- Software: BQStudio
- Programmer: EV2300 (ver. 3.1c)
- System: Windows 10 64bit.
- Alternate System: Virtual Machine 32bit Windows 7.
My Problems:
- The chemistry tab is not visible when BQStudio launches and auto-detects device. Screenshot of my view:
- When I go to help, there is no option to update chemistry.
- Also, this behavior is not consistent. Sometimes, it will suddenly show the chemistry tab, but the list will be empty. Most times, there is no chemistry tab (along with the buch of other tabs that are usually visible).
- And the device is being shown as bq40z50 instead of bq40z50-r1 in the dashboard.
One time I managed to get the Chemistry tab to show and display the list (don't know how. It just happened). After which I tried to update the chemistry and firmware of my bq40z50-r1. The device went into ROM mode and refuses to come out. Upon searching, I found that I must update the Firmware of the EV2300, but I am unable to do so since I have only one programmer.
I am thoroughly stuck and cannot get bqstudio to behave properly and my development on this device has been stalled for 2 weeks now. I have scoured the forums for a solution but have not come across a thread describing a problem similar to mine. I have also tried installing a 32bit Windows 7 virtual machine, with the same results. Would highly appreciate some help in solving this problem.
