BQ40Z60: FullChargeCapacity is showing way too different value from actual Qmax value

Part Number: BQ40Z60

Cell1 Qmax = 2604 mAh

Cell2 Qmax = 2593 mAh

Cell3 Qmax = 2612 mAh

Design Capacity = 2600 mAh

FullChargeCapacity = 129 mAh !!

Learning Cycle is completed. Update status shows 06. Ra table is also updated. What should I do with this discrepancy in FullchargeCapacity value ??

  • Please send the log file from your optimization cycle and an srec from the device and I review them.

  • Dear Tom,

            I am attaching the log files as well as the srec file. Please have a look.

    Thanks

  • Venugopal,

    It looks like ChemID 1210 is a poor match to your cells. I used the log data to look for a better ChemID match it the tool suggested 2025. I had to clean the log file some to get it to pass, so this ChemID may not be ideal. I used another tool to update the Ra tables and Qmax in the attached srec file. It set FCC to about 1438mAh, which is better than what you had, but it still looks low. You could try collecting a clean log file of charge and discharge data and we could recheck the ChemID.
