BQ27520-G4: bq27520-G4 / Relation between design capacity and FCC after writing golden file

Part Number: BQ27520-G4

Hi,

Please let me ask about relation between design capacity and FCC after writing golden file. I'm asking this because my customer commented that the FCC after writing golden image was increased when changing to higher design capacity value of golden image. I know that usually the FCC is calculated with "FCC=Qstart+PassedCharge+RM", so I can't understand why FCC is changed by changing design capacity value in golden image.

Your kind response will be appreciated.

  • Hi Satoshi,

Qmax is calculated based off design capacity. FCC is calculated based off RM and Qstart as you have shown in your equation. Both Qstart and RM are a function of Qmax.

So the customer seeing an increased FCC after design capacity has been changed isn't unexpected.

    thanks

  • Hi Onyx,

I appreciate for your response. Can you share the presentation material or app note which include the relationship about Qmax, design capacity, FCC or RM as you listed up?

    Best Regards,
    Satoshi
