BQ24295: Power Good - Reg08[2]

Hi,

I try to understand when the power good register bit(Reg08[2]) should be high.

In my case, I have tested several alimentations (PC host and wall adapters), and never have I seen this bit high. Usually, I have between 4.8V and 5.2V on VBUS, and the tested wall adapters were able to source between 1.2A to 2.8A to charge the battery.

So with those voltages and currents, according to the point 8.3.1.4.2 of the datasheet, this register should be high.

My question is, what am I missing and what should I look at or modify in order to have the power good high?

Hello Maxime,

Your operating conditions appear correct, specially if you are able to charge the battery. Can you please elaborate on how you are reading the bit, what is the content of REG08 and REG09? Also, is this on an EVM or a custom board?

This is on a custom board. I have investigated a bit more, and the problem was in the way I was handling the reading.
