BQ34Z100-G1: Parameter import in BQstudio

Part Number: BQ34Z100-G1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO

Hi. I just wanted to know if my approach is right.

We are using battery packs which are equipped with Bq34z100-g1. We want to edit the parameters of these battery packs when we get them from manufacturer.

Is it ok import the parameters with import tool? I edited parameters of one battery pack and exported them. Now I try to import them in all our battery packs.

I noticed that calibration page does not update (In this case current deadband).

Can it be that this approach is wrong and we should only manually edit the parameters that we want to change and not use import csv file tool?

Best regards,

Karlis

You can export a gg.csv file from one pack and import it into another one. Calibration data is not automatically imported but you can use the Import from File (advanced) option and select to import the calibration data. You could also go to Windows > Golden Image and erase Calibration from the Preserved field to have bqStudio import it automatically.

  • Thanks Thomas. I understood that I should not change the calibration values as they contain CC offset which is unique for each battery pack.
