EV2300: EV2300 and USB-TO-GPIO compability

Hello,

I am wondering about buying BestTech HCX-D170V1 (BMS fo 12S battery), which is based on BQ34Z100. To communicate between PC and BQ, there is required interface adapter. Datasheet says about EV2300. Because of previous project I already have USB-TO-GPIO adapter. 

And here is my question. Is that possible to communicate with BQ34Z100 via USB-TO-GPIO or I have to buy one another adapter?
