REF5045A-Q1: The minimum data of quiescent current.

Hello,

 

Regarding to Quiescent current on REF5045AQDR-Q1, my customer is asking a question.

They will use this device for automotive application (interior accessory).

(Question)

They need minimum data of quiescent current because they will check total power consumption of each device.

Of cause, I understand that it is not acceptable to inform to us the undescribed specification in datasheet ,

and I informed to them like that.

So if you have the measurement data of quiescent minimum current, I will announce to them it as reference data.

Is it possible to provide the measurement data for us?

    Hi Tao,

    We don't characterize the minimum quiescent current for the REF5045-Q1. Below is a graph from the datasheet that shows the typical quiescent current for the part under different temperature and input voltage condition without a load.

     When calculating total power consumption, the max quiescent current should be used to account for process variation. In this case the max quiescent current is about 200mV higher then the typical.

    I understood about minimum data and informed to my customer.

    They check the power consumption by their test equipment.

    Its judgment range is configured as maximum and minimum value.

    So they have asked about the minimum value of quiescent current.
