BQ34Z100-G1: What does Suspend Low Temp and Suspend High Temp parameters do?

Hi. I am trying to understand what flags will be set in extreme temperature for battery pack.

I know that OTC and OTD flags are set if charge or discharge happens for particular time at particular temperature.

I know that CHG_INH flag is set if temperature is below or above particular temperature, and the flag is cleared only after temp is lower/higher depending on hysteresis.

But what about Suspend Low Temp and Suspend high temp? What flags are set and in what conditions? I could not find that in datasheet.

Hi Karlis,

The Suspend Low Temp and Suspend High Temp indicate the allowed temperature range for charging. If the temperature is outside the range of [Suspend Low Temp, Suspend High Temp], then the XCHG flag is set, which should not allow charging or suspend charging.
