UCC28070: Need of power factor

Hello,

We are developing 2.2 and 1.2 kW on board battery charger. 

Can you please let me know how much power factor is needed in India to develop above such chargers? Is there any Govt. standard available for this?

    Hello Dhananjay,
    I am not familiar with the power factor requirements in India but I suggest you search for the standards associated with the end product you are designing for. Power factor and harmonic requirements are usually set by the product category this falls into and you may find that there are multiple standards associated with harmonics and efficiency.
    Or perhaps you may not even require power factor correction.
