CCS/BQ76PL455A-Q1: Connecting bq76pl455A-Q1 to c2000 piccolo launchpad (28027F)

I am using c2000 launchpad for sci communication to bq76pl455A-Q1 . but launchpad runs on 3.3v and bq76pl455A-Q1 TX,RX pins are  5v. My question is can I directly connect Tx-Rx, Rx-Tx pins . Is there any need to connect level shifter to convert 5v from Tx of bq76pl455A-Q1 to 3.3v for Rx pin of launchpad. 

If there is need , suggest me any IC(device) for that purpose.

    Indrajit,

    The bq76PL455 TX and RX pins use VIO and DGND as their inputs/outputs.I am not so familiar with the C2000 (I typically use the TMS570)... but I think directly connecting TX/RX will be okay. Please make sure appropriate pull ups/pull downs are included, as on the EVM
