SN75468: Operating Temperatures

Part Number: SN75468

The web page for the SN75468 states that the operating temperature is 0C to 70C. Yet on page 9 of the data sheet it clearly states that the device can operate over a wide temperature range (-40C to 105C). This seems to coincide with the recommended junction temperature of -40C to 125C in the data sheet. Is this part rated for 0C to 70C operation or -40C to 105C as stated in the data sheet?

Hi Richard,

The important spec to pay attention to is the recommended junction temperature of 125°C. If the ambient temperature is at 105°C and the junction temperature is kept below 125°C, then the device is operating within spec and will not be damaged.
