Hi..

I am using 24V 8 cell lipo battery ...

Problem :- Couldn't monitor each cell individual because of wrong fabrication . Can only monitor 24 v at a time . How to do this???

The idea i thought :- I thought of discharging the battery once and calculating the total power supplied and then dividing it by 100. Now i will monitor power and keep on decreasing he percentage when (totalpower/100) is supplied ..

Will i my idea work ??

Better solution if possible..

Hi Kshitiz,
You must determine what is suitable for your product. Gauging is sometimes done using the pack voltage. Protection is typically done on individual cell voltages since with only the total battery voltage it is not known if one cell is high and another is low. If you have a specific TI part number we can assist with questions on the part.

Hi Kshitiz,
Yes, those seem like reasonable parts for the stack level gauging. I expect you have received assistance on the gauge forum if you had quesitons with them. I did not recognize other protection questions and will mark this closed.
