Hi,

I got a question from the customer.

Q1.

The data sheet P11 has the following description.
"The TPS62590 is designed to operate with inductors in the range of 1.5 μH to 4.7 μH and with output capacitorsin the range of 4.7 μF to 22 μF."

Is there a problem when using a capacitor of 22 μF or more?

Yes, there could be a problem. This IC is older and not designed to work with large output filters.

TLV62080 or TLV62568 are newer and can support larger output caps.

Is it a problem to use a 30 μF capacitor, for example?
Also, what kind of problems can occur when using a large capacity capacitor?

Yes, this is outside the recommended range and could be unstable.
