Hi,

We are having an issue that the stat 1 output does not seem to be doing what the data sheet implies. When the battery is removed the stat 1 LED sometimes flashes, or stays on. The data sheet states that this led should go off. Anyone got an answer here?

Which charger are you using? BQ24104? Can you share the schematic?

Hi Alen,

I am using the BQ24103A . It all is OK except that doesn't turn the charge LED off if the battery is removed whilst charging. The charge LED does stay off if the battery is disconnected and then power applied. I have also seen the charge LED flash which is non documented for the BQ24103A. I will attempt to attache the circuit which is pretty well identical to the application note.fast_charger_circuit.pdf

Hi Nick,

That's fine. Don't worry about it. STAT Pin is blinking during battery detection.
