Hi,

I am using TPS65261-1 part in my schematics.

I have few doubts regarding layout:-

I am placing this IC in the bottom layer

1. Is it OK to place power IC in Bottom ?

2. Can I place some capacitors and feedback resistors in TOP layer ?Or it is necessary to have all component at the same side ?

I want to know basic layout checklist so that i can optimize my layout.

I am following the Datasheet PCB layout guideline but want to know more about How can optimize my IC performance ?

Hi, Ash

1. It is better to layout all components at same side, but it is not necessary except some key components.

The capacitors for PVIN1, PVIN2, PVIN3, V7V must be layouted with IC at the same side.

2. Feedback resistor can layout at top layer.

It is OK and enough to follow the datasheet PCB layout guideline.
