Hi Ti,

I'm looking for a buck-boost solution with a bypass mode. Below are the required specs.

•Minimum input voltage level: ~2.0V to 4.2V

•Efficiency: ~90% @ 100mA

•Max output current: ~500mA

•Quiescent current in bypass mode: <1μA

Please advise whether TPS63001 is able to do it with some tweaks? Or you may propose another solution. Thanks.

Would a boost + bypass device, like TPS61291, work?

How much margin is already in the 500 mA value?

You could always add a load switch in parallel with a buck-boost to achieve this function.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your suggestion but I would like to have only a buck-boost.

My tolerance of the Iout is 300mA ~ 500mA. typical operating Iout at 300mA and max 500mA.
