TLC5971: TLC5971 voltage compliance

Part Number: TLC5971

Hey there,

I'm planning to use the TLC5971 with a series of LEDs, powered by 24V, since there is no other option in this application. (24V -> String of 7 LEDs -> TLC5971 input)
Since the LEDs will requre about 2.5V to start conductiong, the TLC will never see more than 6,5V on it's outputs.

Is there any experience of possible problems in an application like that or will it work fine? :)
Just want to play safe this time since I can not afford this project to go wrong.

Did the same thing on some WORLDSEMI-Chips which are just 7V-Compliant and there is no problem but this product has to be even smaller and the TLC5971 seems to be the smallest solution possible.

Greetings

Kevin
