My customer used bq24090 in one of their project. They set fast charging current to be 800mA, connected an 8 ohm load on battery as a load to discharge at the same time when they were charging the battery. Battery iniital voltage was 3.3V, they found after 24 hours, the CHG/ was still low. battery voltage changed around 4.16V.
From the datasheet, after 10 hours (12.5 hours maximum), the charging is terminated and the CHG pin goes high impedance if not already in that state.
Can you explain why did we observe this? is there anything wrong with our test? TS pin is connected to 10kohm NTC thermistor.
