  • Hi Manish,

    The scan image did not come through but it appears that the unit is failing in 30MHz to 40MHz region. Can you check/advise the customer to do the following

    1. Ground the core of the transformer by using a band around the windings which should also be connected to the primary side 0V rail.
    2. Check the voltage waveforms across the primary side power mosfet and rectifier diode on secondary to see if there is any oscillations in the voltage waveforms in the 30 to 40MHz region. The snubber circuits across these devices may need to be optimised to minimise any oscillation at these frequencies.
    3. Place a 100nF cap directly across the auxiliary winding before the rectifying diode on the primary side.
    4. Check the transformer design to ensure there is a shield winding between the primary and secondary windings.
