My power supply need is as follows:

Vin=22-30 Volts. Therefore the power supply chip must have Vin rating of at least 40 Volts.

Vout1=21 Volts @ 3.0 A., Vout2+17 Volts @ 2.5 A.

Is there a single chip that can do this or do I have to use two chips?

    Hello Dhimat,
    We do not have any dual switchers with integrated fets rated to 40V.
    Our dual integrated fet switchers, like TPS55386, are only good to 28V.

    For single switcher with integrated fets see:
    TPS54540 TPS54040A TPS54140A TPS54240 TPS54340 TPS54340-Q1 TPS54341 TPS54540-Q1 TPS54541

    For a dual controller, good to at least 40Vin and 21Vout, using external fets see:
    LM25119Q, LM5119Q, LM25119, LM5119,

    The Q and -Q1 designator are Automotive qualified.
