Hello, we are looking for a new adjustable Buck converter application:
Vin: 46V.. 52V; Vout 1V .. 42V; Iout: 0,2A .. 40A continous current with tracking funktion up to 125Hz.
In our first application Iout up to 20A we used TPS40170. It works but LDRV and HDRV driver are not very strong and the FETs are going hot at 260kHz due to too slow edge switches even with good cooling.
It seems that is the end. To operate with better power FET´s RdsON < 3mOhm but with more Qg = total gate charge 300nC the drivers are to weak.
Do you have application Iout up to 40A?
In Buck controller selecetion page we find e. g. LM5117 device up to 20A. The device seem to have better driver quality for LDRV and HDRV.
Do you have application suggestions for Iout up to 40A and tracking function?
Or do you have any other device proposal, which maybe will fit?
