My customer is considering the failure mode of the BQ24172.

How does the BQ24172 behave when the sense resister is shorted?

Hi Kuramochi,

If RSR is shorted when charging, charging current will ramp up and reach IDPM. It will be clamped at input current limit until fault cleared and get back to normal operation.
