BQ27546-G1: BQ27546 Impedance tracking relate to SOC in the recharge state

Part Number: BQ27546-G1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO

Hi,

I currently used BQ27546-G1 in my device. At the moment, the device can fully charged at 100% SOC. Chem_ID 0105 (LiCoO2/carbon-3) is set up correctly with charging voltage 4.2V. Battery capacity is 165mAh. I am currently using BQstudio and EV2300.

However, I got the situation like this:

- If I still leave the device in the charger after fully charged for more than 48 hours, I can see the SOC read reduces slow. For examples, cell voltage at 4.167V SOC read 98%; cell voltage at 4.152V SOC read 97%; 4.141V SOC read 95%; 4.118V SOC read 93%. Until the battery voltage drops down to 4.1V, then charger will trigger the recharge process to top up the battery cell voltage and it will reach 100% again at 4.194V.

As i know the battery is leak out as fuel gauge consumes the energy from battery cell so it can take a few days before battery voltage reach down to 4.1V.

My question : Is SOC read correctly ? Can I improve this situation as sometimes it may confuse the user ?

Thank you very much.
