BQ24780S: BQ24780S ACDRV

Part Number: BQ24780S

Dear All:

I use the bq24780s to achieve charging 3s Li battery.

When  Vcc =19V  ACDET=2.6V  the ACOK to connect the Mcu, no battery, and the mcu don't have a power supply. I find  the ACOK pull low, ACFET turn off. why  cause the results?

according to the datasheet, in the condition of  VCC=19V ACDET=2.6v, the ACOK is pull high.

  • First, we have to figure out the ACOK is pulled low by bq24780S or other circuit that is connected to ACOK. Would you disconnect other circuit on ACOK pin (just keep the pull-up source and pull-up resistor) and check the ACOK voltage again?

  • Dear Wang:

ACOK connect the MCU pin, but the MCU have not power supply.
And other question even if the ACOK is be pulled low by the external circuit , , i don't think the ACDRV state is affect beacuse the ACDRV is control by the ACOK_DRV instead of ACOK, the ACOK is output Pin .
